EXECUTIVE PRODUCERS NAMED FOR NEW HARRY POTTER SERIES ON HBO MAX

Producers named

for new HP Series on HBO MAX expected to air sometime in 2026

HBO in association with Warner Brothers Television, announces Emmy award winning Francesca Gardiner and Mark Mylod as executive producers for the upcoming original Harry Potter Series set to be released on HBO MAX. Gardiner will be showrunner. Mylod will produce and direct multiple episodes. Gardiner has already written the pilot episode. Rowling posted earlier that she was thrilled and that the duo have a genuine passion for Harry Potter. The series is planned to be a seven season(one for each book) faithful adaptation of the Harry Potter book series by author and producer JK Rowling.

Francesca is known for Succession, His Dark Materials and Killing Eve. Succession won Outstanding Drama Series in 2023 and 2022. Mark Mylod is known for “Succession,” “Game of Thrones,” and “The Last of Us” Succession Outstanding Drama Series 2023, 2022, 2020 and Outstanding Director 2023, 2022 and Outstanding Producer 2024,2022,2020 among others.
