| 1. Top Gun Maverick 2022 It's been 30 years and US Navy Captain Pete "Maverick" Mitchell's (Tom Cruise) career is in jeopardy. His friend and former rival Admiral Tom "Iceman" Kazansky (Val Kilmer) reassigns him to train a new group of Top Gun graduates. Maverick must return to Miramar, train young fighter pilots for a high-risk mission. What I liked: I loved the first one but this one hit it out of the ballpark. Maverick grew up and the storyline grew with him. The photography and filming are a masterpiece. Get it on DVD. |
| 2. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban 2004 Harry learns Sirius Black (Gary Oldman), is a convicted murderer and Voldemort's former aide, has escaped from prison and is planning to kill him. Black betrayed Harry's parents to Voldemort. Harry, Ron, and Hermione investigate the mystery surrounding Black, who may be on his way to Hogwarts. The trio must deal with a swarm of Dementors sent to protect the school, a mysterious new teacher with a secret connection to Black, and a climactic sequence that involves time tricks. What I liked: This is not only my favorite HP movie but also my favorite HP book. It is a work of artistry. It is wimsical, spoooky and enchanting. Get it on DVD or watch it on Prime. |
| 3. 10 things I hate about you 1999 Bianca Stratford is pretty and popular, but her strict family won't allow her to date until her older sister does: the problem is that sister Kat is an outsider who tries to alienate any guy who might be interested in her. So Bianca's would-be boyfriend bribes fellow outsider Patrick to ask out Kat, thinking that this sullen young man with a mysterious past might tempt Kat to rise to the challenge. They hit it off and he thinks he's found the girl of his dreams then he finds out due to an accident her memory only lasts for a day and she won't remember him the next day. How will he ever win her over? What I liked: Funny and heartwarming the best combination. Get it on DVD or Prime. |
| 5. The American President 1995 President Andrew Shepherd prepares to run for reelection. He meets environmental lobbyist Sydney Allen Wade and is instantly smitten with her. His opponent of course launches metaphorical bullets at him and tempers fly. What I liked: Making something complicated human. Get it on DVD or watch it on Prime. |

Pretty Woman 1990 Follow the lovestory of Vivian a charismatic, innocent young woman trying to make ends meet as a prostitute who meets wealthy businessman Edward who treats all of life like a business decision. What I like: 90s take on a Cinderella style story Get it on DVD or watch on Prime. |

| 9. Shag The Movie 1989 Four teenage girls sprint to Myrtle Beach before adulthood set in for a final vacation together. Carson is planning to marry a boy that might not quite be right for her, Melaina is obsessing about her dreams of Hollywood, Pudge is overcome with self confidence issues and Luanne just can't quite let loose! They all grow closer together and help each other find their own way. What I liked: A total blast from the past! Get the DVD. |

Just 4 days before the date Michael announces he's marrying gorgeous 20yo Kimberly. Julianne realizes she's in love with him. Can she stop the wedding in time? What I liked: A hoot.
