Ava (Sipos, “Chesapeake Shores”), an art gallery manager, decides to take her honeymoon riverboat cruise alone after her wedding was cancelled a year ago. She meets Joe (Jeannotte, “The Bold Type”), a handsome fellow passenger that she finds intriguing. Unbeknownst to her, Joe is concealing his identity as the Prince of Baldonia. Joe has boarded the cruise in hopes of finding art for an upcoming charity gala auction and to take time to decide if he really wants to be king. He is undercover and does not want his identity revealed. Ava and Joe bond over their love of art and soon the two explore the streets of Germany, Austria, and Hungary, gathering art from the various palaces for the gala auction. They develop a romantic spark despite Ava’s trust issues and Joe’s secret. With the cruise almost over, Ava discovers the truth when images of her and Joe end up on the cover of a tabloid. Despite her initial anger, Ava agrees to attend the gala. Joe stays true to himself by abdicating the throne to his younger brother, leaving him to focus on his romance with Ava and their and their pursuit to open a national gallery in Baldonia to showcase the country’s beautiful art Love on the Danube: Royal Getaway is from Hallmark Media. Leif Bristow, Andrea Canning and Michael Mclaughlin are executive producers. Agnes Bristow, Borga Dorter, Hubert Toint and Mark Vennis serve as producers. The film is directed by Norma Bailey from a script by Aubrey Day.
