A generations-old feud that’s divided a small town may be settled once and for all when Schuyler Fisk (Sam & Kate, Orange County), Genevieve Angelson (The Handmaid’s Tale, Good Girls Revolt), Lea Thompson (Switched at Birth, Back to the Future) and Wendie Malick (Young Sheldon, Shrinking, Just Shoot Me!) star in Hallmark’s all-new original series The Chicken Sisters, premiering Tuesday, September 10 on Hallmark+, the company’s reimagined streaming service and membership rewards program. James Kot (Christmas on Cherry Lane, Virgin River), Rukiya Bernard (Yellowjackets, One Winter Wedding), Ektor Rivera (Groundswell, Sugar Plum Twist) and Jake Foy (Allegiance, Ride) round out the cast, while Margo Martindale (American Crime Story, Cocaine Bear, Justified) lends her voice as the Narrator.

After marrying into the family that runs Frannie’s, Amanda Moore Hillier’s (Fisk) relationship with her mom Augusta “Gus” Moore (Wendie Malick), who runs Mimi’s, has been as cold as a frog’s tail. Nancy Hillier (Thompson) is happy to have Amanda by her side along with Nancy’s son Frank Jr. (Kot), and thinks of her as the daughter she never had. Amanda learns that the cooking competition show Ultimate Kitchen Clash is looking for restaurant rivals to vie for the $100,000 prize and impulsively submits Frannie’s and Mimi’s. When host Sabrina Skye (Bernard) calls and gives her the good news that the show is coming to Merinac, Amanda is stunned and panicked – she has no idea how to get her mom on board. Gus ultimately agrees but…only if Mae (Angelson), Amanda’s sister who flew the coop years earlier for the bright lights of New York, returns to help. While Mae initially balks at the idea, an unexpected professional pitfall makes her do an abrupt about-face. She shows up in Merinac after having vowed never to return and brings her big city swagger with her, immediately ruffling Amanda’s feathers. With both sisters back in the same town – and childhood baggage bubbling back up – they’re ready to face off.
