elf(2003)
Buddy (Will Ferrell) was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a toddler and raised to adulthood among Santa's elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn't fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, in search of his real father. As it happens, this is Walter Hobbs (James Caan), a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever(1983)

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is a story about six siblings, the Herdmans, who take over their local church's Christmas pageant and end up teaching the community about the true meaning of Christmas.

What I liked: I picked up this book in about 4th or 5th grade at the book fair and the Christmas afterwards the movie came out probably one of if not the first movies I saw made from a book. I hear there’s a new version coming out this year.
