“The Motherhood”

Connie Britton will host and produce a new unscripted 6 one hour episode series called “The Motherhood” From Deadline: “Each episode of The Motherhood follows Britton, a single mother herself, as she connects with another single mother who is juggling the demands of work, parenting, and self-care. Over the course of a transformative week, Britton and three expert coaches—DIY and home design specialist Angela Rose, positive parenting coach Destini Davis, and style expert Taryn Hicks—help the mom create a harmonious living space, implement effective parenting strategies and refresh her wardrobe. At the heart of the series is the lasting impact of these changes, as the women build a supportive community to continue uplifting each other long after the cameras stop rolling.”

new in 2025 on hallmark+

Turning the former Hallmark Movies Now App to a full streaming network in September according to recent articles Hallmark+ has seen a surge in subscribers. Not a real surprise considering it has added new exclusive, original content to the service and is also dipping it’s toes into the reality tv world. This Christmas season they have added Mistletoe Murders(Mystery Series), Finding Mr. Christmas(reality), Unwrapping Christmas(a series of four movies), Holidazed(a series following several families), Ready Set Glow and a continuation of Christmas on Cherry Lane with a series of movies. Before the holiday season it premiered two new movie series Love on the Danube and The Jane Mysteries. Then they sprinkled in reality content with Celebrations with Lacey Chabert and a new series The Chicken Sisters. Enticing some stragglers right out off the bat(HAHAHA I’m so punny) they premiered The Groomsmen a trilogy of movies starring Tyler Hynes, Johnathan Bennett and BJ Britt.

So what will we see in 2025? A lot still remains a mystery at this point. I’m sure we’ll eventually see some news of more new movies perhaps as many as 6 per month that’s about what we’ve seen so far with a couple shows mixed in. I’m personally curious if The Way Home will stream first on Hallmark+ before coming to Hallmark Channel since When Calls the Heart Season 12 was recently been announced to begin January 5th at 9/8C which has been the time slot for The Way Home for the last two years. Time will tell and I’ll update you on that when more information comes out. But for now, here’s what we do know is planned for 2025…

Ripple

“Hallmark+ has given a straight-to-series order to the new one-hour drama series Ripple, created by Michele Giannusa.”

“Leading the ensemble, as four strangers whose lives start to serendipitously intersect, are Tony Award nominee and Gotham Award winner Frankie Faison (Till, The Rookie: Feds, The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain), Julia Chan (Katy Keene, Archive 81, Winston, Saving Hope), Ian Harding (Our Little Secret, Pretty Little Liars, Holidazed) and Sydney Agudong (Lilo and Stitch, Ether, On My Block,).”

“Set in New York City, Ripple explores how seemingly small decisions can bring strangers together in unexpected ways. The series follows four individuals — Walter (Faison), Kris (Chan), Nate (Harding) and Aria (Agudong) —who have unknowingly crossed paths many times but never met. As they each face life's challenges, their actions create a ripple effect that ultimately connects them. Ripple delivers a powerful message of hope: just wait for the rainbow, some of the best things in life can’t happen without the storm.”
